新バイオニクルの世界観紹介シリーズの第4回は物語の舞台となる神秘の島「
オコート島 / Island Okoto」についてです。
オコート島は旧バイオニクルのマタ・ヌイ島と同様に、6つ属性を反映したエリアからなる火山島です。しかしオコート島の各領域は山脈によって分断されており、この点は
マタ・ヌイ島と大きく異なります。
また島の各地には遺跡が存在しており、これからの物語のカギとなるようです。
リージョン・オブ・ジャングル（密林の領域） / Region of Jungle
解説：
オコート島の森は巨大な木と危険な野生動物でいっぱいの危険なエリアだ。生い茂る森は廃墟を覆い隠し、古代遺跡の存在は忘れ去られている。レーバとプロテクター・オブ・ジャングルの村はこのエリアに位置する。
Okoto's jungles are dangerous places full of gigantic trees and savage wildlife. The jungles hold the most ancient of the Protector Ruins, now overgrown and forgotten. The region is home to the Protector of the Jungle and Lewa, the Toa of Jungle.
リージョン・オブ・ストーン（岩石の領域）/ Region of Stone
解説：
オコート島の北西部には広大で不毛な砂漠が広がっている。この砂漠で最も危険な現象は荒地を横切る砂嵐だ。オワツとプロテクター・オブ・ストーンの村はこのエリアに存在する。
The great barren desert spreads across the northwestern part of Okoto. The most dangerous phenomenon in the desert is sandstorms that blow across the wasteland. The region is home to the Protector of Stone and Pohatu, the Toa of Stone.
リージョン・オブ・ウォーター（水の領域） / Region of Water
解説：
水の領域は、湖、
轟き渡る大河、河口の大きなデルタ地形、そしてオコート島の東海岸に沿った肥沃な島々から成ります。そしてこのエリアにはガーリとプロテクター・オブ・ウォーターの村があります。
The Region of Water is composed of lakes and thundering rivers that form large deltas as well as strings of fertile islands along the eastern coast of Okoto. The region is home to the Protector of Water and Gali, the Toa of Water.
リージョン・オブ・アース（大地の領域） / Region of Earth
解説：
オコート島の西部は黒曜石が豊富に採れるエリアである。そこは黒く危険な渓谷地帯で、ガラスと地面には走る深い亀裂でいっぱいの悪夢のような場所だ。オヌーとプロテクター・オブ・アース
の村は
このエリアにある。
The western part of Okoto is rich with obsidian fields. It is a black, glasslike and nightmarish place full of treacherous ravines, crevices and deep rifts. The region is home to the Protector of Earth and Onua, the Toa of Earth.
リージョン・オブ・アイス（氷の領域） / Region of Ice
解説：
氷河やツンドラが広がるオコート島の北部は常に氷に閉ざされており、吹き荒れる猛吹雪は全てを一瞬で凍結させてしまう。コパカとプロテクター・オブ・アイスの村はこのエリアに存在する。
Glaciers and tundra permanently freeze the northern part of Okoto. Great snowstorms blow across the region flashfreezing everything. The region is home to the Protector of Ice and Kopaka, the Toa of Ice.
リージョン・オブ・ファイア（炎の領域） / Region of Fire
解説：
プロテクター達は、エレメンタルマスクを共にある予言を古来より受け継いできた。その予言はタフーを始めとするトーア達の出現を予告しており、プロテクター達はその知恵をもってトーア達を彼らの進むべき道へと導かなければならない。そして、プロテクター・オブ・ファイアが最も好むのがこの火山地帯だ。
The Protectors wear sacred Elemental Masks that have been passed down through the generations along with the Prophecy of Heroes, which foretells the coming of the heroic Toa. In their wisdom, the Protectors must guide the heroes on their quest. The Protector's favorite environment is a volcanic mountain.
